Pacha in Ibiza is one of oldest, and most exclusive Nightlubs in Ibiza. It has been there for over 30 years now, and it is fair to sa that it influenced music tasted of at least three generstions of partygoers.
Pacha Ibiza - is located in re-built villa - "vallessa house" hence typical mediterranean rooms, floor tiling, columns, pillars.
Pacha is famous for hosting the best parties on the island with top DJs every night of the week. David Gueta's- Thursday's F*** I'm famous, Erick Morillo's Subliminal Sessions, or Dvid Morales' Defected. It is Roger Sanchez's favourite Club - as he loves to host his Release Yourself Night there.
Unlike the others Pacha is not only a holiday nightlum. It is open on Saturdays all year long, and even does not host European DJ Elite then, still has its own vibe.
I have never actually counted how many exacly bars there are in Pacha, but have never had a problem getting a drink there. Bars are everywhere you look, and queues are not long at all. You must be prepared to spend EUR10-15 per drink. But It's Ibiza - did anyone mention it was gonna be cheap ?
Whoever goes to Ibiza - Pacha visiting Pacha at least once is a Must. Personally I consider this one one of my favourites.
A fantastic story about Pacha......
Pacha is a great club, but the best way to enjoy it is def to see it as a experience, as oppose to a normal club. The prices are insane, but they don't sell a massive amount of drink, the club keeps going through the constant brand loyalty from the rich and crass hoards of italian models, media people, televison people, people who exist in that jet-set world. And the other half of any given night, the tourists and voyeurs, peeping into that world for the night, splashing all there hard earned holiday money on Vodka limons like they fit in, only to return to the reality of Luton airport a few days later. It works really well, because the elitest folks who make up the Pacha regulars, the trust-afarians, are attention seekers of the highest calibre, so the intrusion of a voyeuristic middle England on there cocaine induced false paradise is all to welcomed. Pacha is a a window back into the 1970's New York Disco scene, shameless excess in sunglasses, even down to the gangster attitudes of the owners.
Anyhow, the story, about 10 years ago, at Ministry, a very messy session, ended with my mate getting chased across the club by guest PA "skin" from ex brit pop band Skunk Anansie, and crashing into a lamp in the corrider that connects the main club to the roof terrace. In a temp blackout, hapless models in thick raybands stumbled around in panic, in a hilarious "Zoolander moment".
Brilliant.
