Ses Salines
Ses salines beach in Ibiza

You can hardly find a n Ibiza Guide book that does not mention Ses Salines. That makes it one of the most famous Ibiza beaches, not without a reason. Celebs mix with locals and tourists here making it full of fun lovin, and glamorous individuals.

Quite a long beach located in a cove, of shallow crystal clear water. Quite frankly the bottom of most of the beach is a giant dead flat rock covered with sand. It makes the water shallow and dead clear and warm, up to few hundred yards off shore. It is very salty as well. (the salt fields you pass when driving there explain it). It is a Southern most point of the island - the one with the iconic Ibiza pirate watchtower, perfect spot for wind-surfers, and other water sports.

You definetely will not get thirsty there. Bars will serve you with cocktails at your sunbed. (www.satrinxa.com) This beach does not belong to the cheapest though, and it fills up with many wealthy individuals… who anchor their boats there. You never know who you meet when sipping another cocktail on one of thousands sunbeds amongst colourful towels, or when walking down the beach. Maybe you happen to get close enough to one of chick motorboats anchoring in shallow waters.

There is a large nudist section somewhere in the middle of it. Ses Salines – is not a waste of time at all, maximum level of satisfaction almost guaranteed provided you are open-minded, great summer atmosphere, fun with party beauties not necessarily wearing full bikinis, to the sound of finest Ibiza chill-out tunes.
This exceptional strip of hot sand ( 1-2 miles) is surrounded only by water, and pines on the other side. Proximity of Ibiza Wildlife Conservation Area may be an advantage if you fancy some exploring…
